About Us

Our Story

I am Neha Verlekar, a physiotherapist. My father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s way back in 2012. Since the diagnosis, day in and out, he was striving to fight Parkinson’s. He knew that there is no cure, but he did not want to leave any stone unturned. He has tried various scientific based therapies, exercise regimes, lifestyle changes and alternative treatment options. In all, his efforts have helped him extend his “honeymoon Phase” of Parkinson’s disease.

He found that Holistic and Integrated way to deal with Parkinson’s was missing. Also, lack of knowledge, information, motivation and dedication amongst the patients and their caretakers was profound. Immense data is already available on various publication websites. But the information is not reaching out to the needful crowd due to various factors.

He decided to start a platform where he could share his research-based knowledge, experiences and trials, with the PD community.

That platform is PARKINSONPEDIA

We are a team of Parkinson Warriors, their caregivers, well qualified Physiotherapists and Doctors. We work dedicatedly to make each PD Warrior aware about all the treatment therapies they can imply to slow down their PD progression. We assemble the material and present it to you in brief on one platform. Here, we encourage you to try simple lifestyle changes which could benefit reducing the severity of your Parkinson’s symptoms. We cover the latest developments in diet, exercise and alternate treatment options related to PD.

Our Motto
